Winners of three awards

Interior designer Maria Loveless, the owner of The L&L Design Team, a Decorating Den Interiors franchise, was recently recognized by Decorating Den with three design awards at the company’s national conference.

Decorating Den Interiors is North America’s largest interior design and home furnishings franchise company. The L&L Design Team earned Decorating Den’s Director’s Award and Inaugural Award as well as an Outstanding Growth of a Region Award. All three awards recognize Loveless’s quick growth since opening her franchise in 2016.

Loveless has always had a knack for design, and she decided to go back to school part-time while raising her family. She became a Certified Interior Decorator in 2002 and began to design residential and commercial spaces across Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland and beyond. Today, The L&L Design Team focuses exclusively on working with clients within the Northern Virginia Metro area.

Loveless is proud of her team and the work they did over the last year to growth the business and serve more clients. “We had a great year, but we weren’t looking to break records or get recognition – we were just trying to meet our clients’ needs in the best way possible. We are humbled by the awards and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow the business moving forward,” she said.

For Loveless, design isn’t about pushing her own personal style – it’s about building relationships with clients and creating spaces they’ll love. That’s what Loveless says sets her apart.

“My designs are focused on what the client is looking for in their space – not what I’d like to do or what my tastes would be. For most of us, our homes are our biggest investment and a place where we create memories, share with family and live our best life. I’m thrilled that I’m able to help people love that investment even more through a design they love more every day,” Loveless said.

Loveless has a meticulous eye for detail and a flair for personalizing the residences of her clients, which through the years have included successful professionals, attorneys, company executives, entrepreneurs, military personnel, and others moving to the area. She works on projects of all sizes, from complete design services to simply helping clients choose the perfect paint colors for their home.

The L&L Design Team is also backed by some of the area’s leading contractors, painters, carpenters, installers, electricians and other professionals. Loveless and her husband, Tom Larsen, also own House Doctors of Manassas.
