Virtual Design

As an interior design firm, we have always offered virtual design consultations because many of our clients have second homes or businesses in other parts of the country. We want you to know we are using this same approach to support our clients during this Coronavirus timeframe so we do not delay your interior design project. Here is our strategy.

The initial phone call will be a chance to learn more about one another and ensure we are a good fit based on your needs and my product offerings and design services. Items we will discuss include:

  • Scope of project including specific rooms and desired outcome
  • Your décor style and color scheme
  • Floor plans and/or room dimensions (if available)
  • Photos of space and any furnishings that will remain

Your Budget

We will develop a “wish list” of design elements needed to accomplish your objectives and discuss the budget. This will include ongoing design consultation, merchandise, shipping, receiving, delivery and installation.

Initiating the Design Process

If, after our initial phone consultation, we mutually decide to move forward, we will schedule a virtual appointment via Zoom to further review preferences and the next steps. At this consultation, we’ll discuss your needs, wants and design aesthetics in order for us to begin pulling your project together. Together, we will also take a virtual tour of your space, using your phone for the “camera.” At this time we’ll discuss the budget for your project.

Retainer

If you decide to move forward, a Retainer equal to 5% of the target budget will be collected.

The Presentation

A design presentation will then be shared with you (using Zoom) featuring furniture, rugs, lighting, window treatments, wall art, and accessories as well as samples of fabrics. Through mutual collaboration during the presentation, we will finalize your design. The project cost will be shared with you at this time as well. The project cost will include design time, merchandise, shipping, receiving, delivery, installation and taxes. We will then require a 60% down payment to initiate the job.

Follow Through and Updates

Over the next 10 to 12 weeks, we will stay in touch to notify you of your project’s status.

The Big Reveal

Finally, when the clouds are lifted, our team will complete your space transformation. Once your fabulous new surroundings are complete, the 40% balance will be due.
