Project Overview:

This beautifully situated beach house was old and tired with a traditional look, tired paint and old carpeting. Interior designer Maria Loveless transformed the space into a contemporary coastal beach house that welcomes people with its new light and airy feel. The carpet was replaced with VPL (vinyl plank flooring) that gives the look of hardwood floors while being highly water resistant. The ceilings were given a nautical feel with beautiful white shiplap, all new lighting and fixtures. The kitchen was updated with new granite countertops and the cabinets were painted in a crisp, bright white. The fireplace was a big project as Maria took out the old built-ins and updated the fireplace with stone. The soft neutral palette in the art brings it all together.
